Wood working

Went to Tyntesfield today, where they had a little craft fair.

Very impressive watching the wood working. This gentleman was telling the boys (enthralled boys at that) how this morning, this was a log, and it would soon be a chair leg.

Lovely skills in action.

The lathe was powered by foot, with a length of elastic stretched on the barn ceiling pulling the string back up, after it had been pushed down by foot.
