Golden Girl
It's the golden steampunk lady! I think she is doing the rounds on blip alongside the golden postbox. But after watching Mo's awesome run I felt like it would be appropriate.
Was a day spent wandering round the fringe so lots of photos. This bass player guy was an alternative just because he was pulling some seriously awesome faces. So into it.
Hadn't quite appreciated how busy Edinburgh is. Everywhere was insane.
Went to the museum to see Catherine the Great exhibition. It was all very cultured and historical, but I'd be lying if I said the best part of the trip wasn't the HUGE FREAKY BUG CLOCK. Straight out of Dr Who.
Hung around in a book shop cafe. Got filmed drinking coffee and staring at my iPhone for The Guardian. A proper cinema-style huge RED camera they were using too. Slow news day maybe.
Went to see The Vocal Orchestra who are a beat boxing troupe. Imagine watching one of those Britians Got Talent dance acts but without the dancing and just the weird music medleys that always ends in an explosion. And all sung live. For an hour.
Bits of it were very good. They did somehow manage to remain both really talented and also quite annoying though.
Got home just in time to see the last 2 laps of Mo Farah. Perfect timing. Neighbours must have thought it was weird that we walked in the door and then all immediately proceeded to shout loudly in unison.
And little Tom dived pretty good too. It weirded me out a bit to think he was only like 10 or 11 when they announced that London had the games back in 2005.
