Just Sitting #4
More reading - RF’s book continues to delight - but to think I had to look up ginglymus. And I’ve got to take my hat off to him - the people of the interior of Oman lived in a way unchanged for centuries, perhaps millennia. His description of being treated to warm camel’s milk was only surpassed by the lizard skin bag containing strips of dried shark guts which was passed to him as a delicacy.
Ahem. In the evening though we did venture out to a decent eatery which we’d never been to before - predictably French. And overlooking the marina. I was quite in my element, of course. No shark’s guts for me, thanks.
