Family

This crazy collection of people are our family on my dads side. Almost entirely there, apart from her two eldest cousins. Gathered together to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of my aunt and uncle, my dad's sister. We have them, their children and families. We have my mum, dad and all his children & grandchildren bar two). We have cousins, brothers in law and a couple of childhood friends. It was a wonderful evening. We celebrated at the Scarborough bowls club, where my uncle plays regularly. Many of us had a go at bowls, there was great food, lots of laughter, some crazy dancing. A fantastic evening. Katie returned home with my parents around midnight and I spent a bit of time with my brothers. Excellent night had by all!

The night had followed a very full day- we started with the usual piano then park run where katie managed her first sub 30 minute 5km run time. In fact, she smashed it at 28:49. She did great! It was then straight to ballet ready for duet practise and class. After some persuasion, I dragged her from class ourselves up and we came home for a bit of clarinet. We then headed for Scarborough where we ran a few more kilometres round my favourite run route. And then it was party time!! She had such a great time charging round with her cousins. So much so that when she fell and banged her chin, bit her lip and cheek then fell backwards onto the back of her head, it was hardly any time before she ran off to play again!
