A Roaring Success
Backblipped because I was completely exhausted and a bit achy when I got home :-)
I found out recently that the deer park I drove through the other day runs a one-off 'deer tour' at the start of the rutting season that involves being taken round the huge estate on a purpose built trailer drawn by a tractor ( so not very elegant ........or comfortable!!!) but you are taken to all the deer hangouts that the public don't usually have access to and most of the deer are not too troubled by you being there as they often see the keepers out on the tractor. I was thrilled to be offered a place from a last minute cancellation and even though I was a little concerned how my back would hold up on a wooden bench seat I decided to chance it. The tour lasted over two hours but seemed to go in the blink of an eye and I was completely enthralled to watch these magnificent creatures in action while I listened to the keeper telling us all about them.......what a wonderful day it was :-)
I had a little rest in the car after the tour and then needed to stretch my back a bit so I walked round the estate gardens in the sunshine, which was lovely but I was too tired to really enjoy it properly.
I have added some amusing extras as it was so hard to chose just one to blip......the first one I would title ' Blast.....I missed it'
the second is a very shy stag that kept peeping round the tree to see if we had gone away yet
The third makes me hoot with laughter and her expression just says ' Oh No.....Please don't tell him ' ;-)))
and the title of the fourth would be ' Certainly Not.......well not with HER watching anyway ' :-))
A brilliant day that will stay with me for ever ;-))
