Views of Zagreb

A bus tour of the city first, followed by a walking tour with a guide - all in the pouring rain! We could have come straight back to the hotel for lunch and a boring afternoon, but we elected to stay in Zagreb.

We joined another couple and found a lovely restaurant for lunch, which was modern and traditional at the same time. Some local dishes, but menus presented on individual iPad-type tablets, a new experience for us:-)

The rain had more or less stopped when we came out again, so we strolled back through the city at a very leisurely pace and enjoyed the colourful sights and lovely old buildings.

Hard to choose, so have done a collage to give you a flavour of the place. So much history, both ancient and modern. A wonderful city to explore.
