Slovenia

Crossed the border today into Slovenia for a wonderful day visiting the gorgeous town of Ljubjana and later Lake Bled.

Our guide was a local girl from Ljubjana and gave us a superb talk about the country, its people, its politics and its future. We were left in awe at the resilience of the Slovenians and stunned by the beauty of the country, especially its Alpine countryside and elegant buildings.

Later we drove to Lake Bled, a famous beauty spot with its castle and church perched high above the lake. Lovely sunshine all day was a real bonus too:-)
