Very Hot Day

This morning we all awoke a little groggy after the exertions of yesterday. After a leisurely breakfast we decided to stick to the Leeward Side and do a little snorkelling.
We headed out to Makaha Beach, stopping off to hire the equipment. Janet, Clare, Sam and Josh snorkelled, John and I lay on the beach.
The gentle breeze was deceptive, Janet got burnt a little, Sam got burnt on the backs of her legs, (face down snorkelling), Josh got burnt on his shoulders, (standing in the water neck deep), Clare was burnt in 'streaks', (bits the suntan cream missed), John has a burnt tummy, (T shirt over his head whilst laying down) and I am Mr Tomato Head, (T shirt on whilst laying down)!!
We came back to BBQ'd home made burgers, very nice. Joshua and I cooled off and washed the sand off in the complex swimming pool.
We then left for the Lu'au at Germaine's, great evening, good food and excellent entertainment.
We are home now gathering ourselves for our last full day on these extraordinary and beautiful islands before we continue our holiday in California.
