Butterfly day (at last)

October is butterfly month again.

Our local park had some lovely visitors Red Admiral in this photo and Comma and Small Tortoiseshell and Speckled Wood also appeared.

The day was also notable as the late breeding House Martins I have been watching in a nearby street fledged at least one youngster today. I took a couple of looks but it seems a bit strange staring at someones house for too long - so I may have missed others. Last time i walked past at tea-time there were none to be seen.
