Formal hall

Tonight was the first formal hall of the year, which was for graduates only and was incredibly busy. The food was fantastic - and all lactose free :) apart from the wonderful conversations I had, the highlight has to be meeting Stephen Hawking. He is a fellow at the college and sometimes dines here. It was so exciting and he even let people take photos with him before he went home (although I decided not to!) What a lovely night.

I also wanted to mention how fantastic all my new friends were tonight. I fell down the stairs this morning and was in a huge amount of pain by midway through hall. Everyone gave me tips on how to recover as quickly as possible and two of my flatmates then took a taxi back with me and helped me up to my room. I remember last week when I was worried that I wouldn't make any friends :)
