Barmouth Bridge

Took the train to Barmouth, travelling along the coastal route and were treated to some stunning scenery.
On arrival we went for lunch then wandered through the town to walk up to and across this bridge.
Trains were not running over it today because there had been a fire on it earlier and we were told that the fire brigade had just left.
As we crossed we couldn't see any fire damage but the bridge is closed until it has been repaired.
No point waiting to blip a train then!
We are going to return to walk on the mountains on the other side of the estuary next time.
