Snipe

Oh I do like this being at home lark - it's great to be able to work early morning and then get out for a couple of hours in the late afternoon :)
Today I went to Lunt Meadows to see what was around.
This was taken from the first screen on the main pool, which was full of ducks, geese, gulls and there were a few Snipe which weren't too far away.
I've never photographed them before as I've only seen them a couple of times and both times they were way too far off.

I quite like their long pointy beaks, and the way they dig around in the mud. Hope you like them too.
