Cat

Today's the day .......................... to look away now

If you are a lover of felines, read no further - you're not going to like what I'm about to write.

We hate this cat.  To be honest, we hate most cats - apart from a notable few that have managed to get in under our guard and for whom we have a sneeky affection.  This one, however, lives somewhere near and considers our garden part of its territory.  That includes the pond - where it sits and waits to pounce on fish and frogs, the nestboxes on the birch tree where it sits and waits for emerging bluetits - and the bird feeders, where it sits and waits for anything with feathers.  I've seen it playing with a mouse that it has caught - right outside our front door.  And I'll not even start on the cat crap that I find when I'm weeding.

We have a mutual dislike of each other.  We bang on the windows, shout at it and chase it away on a regular basis.  It regards all of the former with a distain that only a cat can manage - and carries on doing exactly what it wishes ..............................
