Piping Live, Glasgow

Dont know if anyone was lucky enough to get to The World Piping Festival in Glasgow this weekend. Unfortunately I wasn't around long enough to catch this, having returned down south on Thursday. I did manage to catch a wee bit of Piping Live in George Square after finishing work at Clydebank. The group I saw were from the Alberta Caledonia Pipe Band, who were playing under the shadow of the City Chambers. I didn't have a lot of time to hang around though, but long enough to take a few photos, and then grab myself a Venison Burger before heading back to the car.

One of the great things sbout this works trip, is that I get to see some of my family, but I also get to buy certain culinary delights that I cannot buy down south, such as plain bread, tottie scones and millionaires shortbread (not to mention lorne sausage and forfar bridies). As soon as I arrived home on Thursday afternoon, I had a request for some toast, which was appreciated by both children. Emma and I tried to have some millionaires shortbread with our tea, but Megan had different ideas, as she swiped Emma's peace out of her hand! Clearly a daughter with a sweet tooth!
