John the street artist
This afternoon we headed round to Thea's for a belated birthday celebration...the vegan chocolate cake was delicious! We'd made her an album of photos of Asha and Rudy, going back to when the kids were 2 & 3 years old - amazing to see how they have grown and changed. Good to see her looking so well this afternoon...
Then later I headed down to the square to see some of the homeless guys, including John here blipped. He drew us the most beautiful piece for our lounge wall back in 2014, he's a seriously talented guy. I swapped a photo of him for an extra looooong shower next time he's over at ours. Met a few new street guys too...came away with new faces, hearing new stories, and another bag of washing to do for one of the guys.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) The time chatting with the guys - such an honour to know them.
2) Asha & I feeling a bit healthier today.
3) Our landlady saying the unthinkable...she might be willing to rent us a 3 bed flat for the same price we currently pay for our 1.5 bed - an utter miracle! You can't even rent a room now for what we pay for our flat...the prices have gone sky high. Amazing to think she'd be so kind to us!
