Garden Party at the Chateau

Alan bought a new bike this morning and was keen to try it out, so we cycled through the forest to Chateau la Hulpe.

It's such a beautiful day and they had their garden party which they hold every Sunday through the summer, subject to the weather.

It's a lovely way to spend the afternoon, just lazing around in deckchairs by the lake, in the grounds of the Chateau.

They have a bar selling wine, beer and cocktails and stalls selling food and ice cream. So we enjoyed a few drinks, and then had a walk around the lake before cycling back the 8kms home

Now I'm chilling on the terrace watching the neighbours splashing around in their pool and wishing I could jump in! Later we'll have a BBQ and then watch the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
