Thats it then. The beekeeping season is over. The colonies have all been fed and everything is ready for winter. The sharp eyed amongst you will notice that there are two smaller hives set amongst the rest. These are called nuclei and they are really just small colonies that have started this year from swarms.
After forty years of bee keeping I have found that they have a huge value....
