Spinning...

It's been a whirlwind today and my head is spinning from all the conversations, emails, telephone calls and decisions that I've been involved in.

First thing we had a financial meeting looking at building costs and projected final costs.  Thankfully we are within budget and will hopefully stay that way now that all the major work is complete.

After lunch it was a quick visit to the tile supplier in Perth to collect the samples we'd ordered.  These are for the kitchen and garden room floors (they will be the same.)   Unfortunately the tile we really wanted to see a sample of hadn't arrived.  Hopefully we will get it by the weekend as we really need to make a decision by the start of next week.

Back home for 3pm meeting with the builder (that lasted three hours!) to go over final choices of internal doors, door finishes, door furniture, skirting, and wet room sanitary ware to name a few.

After that we took the tile samples into the garden room to see them properly in daylight and unfortunately we're not that keen on any of them.  Oh dear.

This evening has been spent looking at tiles online, double checking the doors we have chosen to make sure we've made the right choice.  We have. Phew.  Something ticked off the list at least.

Alan has spent the day laughing.  Not sure what at, but it's been a joy to hear during all serious concentrating we've been doing.

Now time for a cuppa then bed.
