Elderly Examples

Went to a poetry recital by the elderly of the freguesia (parish) of Mora - ie. all four towns and one village - which is currently celebrating the elderly for all of October. Really enjoyed it, they are a bunch of characters, and learnt so much. About a hundred there - the town laid on a bus to bring those from outside of Mora town.

There were feisty left-wing political ones, including an angry one about how the EU had taken away their freedom. There were ones about their childhood, mostly remembering how poor they were - bare feet on frosty ground, and not enough to eat, but happy all the same. Rants about computers taking away our ability to think, and two moving ones about the refugees - one lady got very emotional.

Loved this gentleman's moustache, but was the only one I didn't understand - shame, because it made everyone laugh.
