Candid Cameras

Cameras were briefly abandoned while we took a group photo this morning while in the Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia.  We went for the sunrise but it was completely obliterated by mist and fog. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful morning and brilliant day, albeit very, very long. Weather Sunday morning is predicted to be favorable so we plan to go back for another try at sunrise.

Dolly Sods is the highest plateau east of the Mississippi River, with elevations ranging from 2500 to over 4700 feet.  We were at the highest part. "It is a U.S. Wilderness Area in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia and is part of the Monongahela National Forest. It contains bog and heat eco-types more commonly typical to Southern Canada."

I have loaded another shot of Dolly Sods taken this morning, because, after all, this is a landscape workshop.
