True blue

Little flower with a big name. This ceratostigma is in a pot near our front door. It is quite boring for most of the time but in the last few weeks it has produced these intense blue flowers and the foliage has turned from green to red. I bought it many years ago at a lovely Sussex country house, Parham.

We had our flu jabs today. The surgery has got it down to a fine art, processing a large number of patients on two consecutive Saturday mornings.
