Underneath the apple tree

It was a beautiful autumn day and I should have been out in the countryside, or gardening. Instead I was indoors playing in one of my regular Mah-jong sessions. We play once a month in a friend's house in Guildford and this is a view of her pretty cottage garden. It is an old established garden with mature trees and shrubs and a mossy lawn. It is usually busy with squirrels who chase each other around, up and down the trees, but I didn't see any today.
