Around the Bay in a Day

Today A and a friend completed a huge challenge undertaking a 250km ride around Port Phillip Bay in a day. They started in Melbourne at 5:30am this morning and rode anti-clockwise getting to Geelong at about 9am, when this pic was taken. After that things got pretty horrid with a 40km/hr head wind on the eastern side of the bay after a 2hour crossing on the ferry. We wouldn't have blamed them for pulling out, but after 11hours10min riding time, they arrived back in Melbourne ahead of about half the riders. They were tired of course but seemed very happy. Tomorrow morning may not be so pretty though. We are all very proud of them for having a go and sticking it out. Amazing.
