Now, as I see it......

Rain.....

Today it rained. It rained long and it rained hard. It rained overnight, it rained this morning, it's raining this afternoon and it will still be raining this evening. We drove to Chatham on the elbow of the Cape and looked around the shops but they were full of people trying to get out of the rain. We thought of going to the cinema but it was full of people trying to get out of the rain. So we drove back to Falmouth where we are staying and went to the Edward Gorey House Museum (http://www.edwardgoreyhouse.org) which was full of people trying to get out of the rain.

Edward Gorey (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Gorey) was a writer and illustrator whose work is described as vaguely unsettling and who lived in the house until his death in 2000. He was also an avid collector of 'stuff'; things he picked up at yard sales and the like, and the museum had a fascinating collection of his own work and things he had collected (he liked plays on words and had a collection of cheesegraters so that he could say he had some great graters). An interesting afternoon, if on the wet side.

I've added an extra which was an item from the collection which rather reminded me of another Blipper I follow!
