Prix Bayeux Calvados

Left our BnB after a long breakfast. Dominique gave us a huge bag of apples from her trees, some homemade jam, and some home baked cake. She's been great to chat to, and we've loved staying at her farm.

En route to Caen and the ferry we called in at Bayeux, for a walk along the River Aure. Saw our first kingfisher of the trip.

This photo banner was hanging on the side of the Cathedral. It faces a massive plane tree planted in 1797 during the French Revolution - the "Liberty Tree". These frightened girls could do with a bit of that.
