Early(ish) autumn morning walk

Fine start to the day so we set off fairly early around Mote Park ending up at the allotment where we were pleased to find that there was a fine crop on the late planted dwarf French beans and still a few courgettes and raspberries behind. It was good to see a couple of people were working on plots that had been unused for a few years, making headway into thick grasses and also trying to level steep banks.

My afternoon was spent making a start on clearing the garden. The outside tomatoes came up and I was able to cut the grass too. Next step is to clear the greenhouse then dismantle it.

We're planning to go to Vancouver and Alberta next September and then fly on down to San Diego in California to see Chris and De'Shaun. Flights out booked, return flights temporarily booked until the date we want is released. Did some research on campervan rentals to tour the Rockies.

A rugby referees' meting in the evening which wasn't the best of events but I find I always learn something so it was worth, on balance, going!
