So I finally ducked out of the school run; so instead I picked up the car from the garage and drove it home; considerably lighter. (My wallet)
And off out into the day on the bike; to Stockbridge for a rummage around there and then onto the New Town and Nether Leith eventually, I packed a lot into my day; which was just as a well as I had plenty other things to do; her shopping and a long overdue return to the Union of Genius for her first food of the day; it stayed down, so that's progress.
I then escorted her home before embarking on the afternoon's nonsense in light drizzle. Before a brief encounter (no not a Brief Encounter) with a Pensioner and pitta bread - suddenly I'm thinking his signature dish (fish finger sandwiches) might be more exotic than I'd first thought. Hidden shallows, perhaps?
Declining his kind offer of a pint in Leith with another RSA exhibitor I instead went to pick up da kidz from after school club and we shambled off home for a stir fry of sorts, some homework and the interesting development that their mother may have an interested party in her life. Some online digging to be done to see what I can unearth, methinks.
But first a glass of pinot grigio; I worked up a thirst on that there bike today.
