An out of focus heron...

perched nicely, seen on our walk.  This was the best of the many photos I took of it - I say the light was bad! ;-)

I served Alfred his early evening meal and as soon as he'd finished he headed straight for the stairs to go up for some private napping.  
But I had other ideas. No No No Alfred - we have to keep your fitness levels up after all that heavy training along the South West Coast Path and the South Downs Way - so out we went for a brisk walk round the fields.  
He was willing - but took his own sweet time!!   :-)

Woof!  A Dog's gotta sniff. That's the point of a dog.  To sniff and snuffle and sniff and snuffle, then mark, then walk two metres, then sniff and snuffle and sniff and snuffle, then mark, then walk two metres, then....
Hehehe - we know it drives our humans mad!  But accommodating the superior ways of our species is just part and parcel of being a dog person, so deal with it! Woof!
