Home again...

Alfred's now safely back from the vet.  His lump was successfully removed, but the vet couldn't say 100% what it was and is sending it to the lab for tests.  We'll know for sure in a week or so, and will just have to wait.  The vet thinks it will be okay and that either they'll say it's no problem, or that Alfred will have to be regularly monitored.  He just wants to know for sure what it is.  But the lump was completely removed so that's a good thing!  Hopefully the results will say it's just a strange lump of fat and it will all be finished with.  
Alfred is so sweet.  The vet said he was a very good boy and is welcome to come again - I hope he won't have to, apart from for a progress check on the wound!  
And the teeth cleaning... well he did a brilliant job and Alfred now has the clean, white teeth of a one year old pup!
