Saxon day

We've had a fab day today. I booked a half day from work so I could take P into school today as it's dress up day. All week the children have been learning about the saxons and the battle of 1066. Today they all dressed up and reenacted the battle of Hastings. We walked to school with P's friend and they both looked so good in their costumes. I then stayed for reading morning too.

I had to do 3hrs and 45 mins at work but that flew by and then I had a few hours to myself. I decided to go for a swim. Swimming with the kids is fun but not quite as relaxing as a swim on your own. There was no floats or noodles and definitely no jumping in! Just little old me going back and forth working out the bingo wings!

Afterwards I went for a coffee and enjoyed a rare 20 minutes of peace.

I collected P from gymnastics and she was full of stories about her day. We then collected A and he was chipper mood too. We had a nice evening with G&G popping in to do some DIY for us.

I think I should do half days every Friday!
