A grey and damp morning. It was drizzling as we walked down the road this morning, with BB practising his spelling as we made our way to school (he did get 10/10!). I came home to do a couple of things and to then head out for a walk. I then noticed it was pouring, but luckily the rain didn’t last too long, so I did manage to get out for a walk. When the sun came out it was really warm.
Although BB doesn’t want me to pick him up from school anymore, I did have to go to the school to undertake some PTA business in the playground. BB didn’t even notice me, and headed straight off with his friends. I caught up with them, and overtook them as they stopped briefly to see a friend who has been off school with a broken arm.
I delivered BB to football this afternoon and went for my usual walk. I tried to visit Bankton Doocot, but couldn't get in. I then sat in the car for the last half hour, reading my book. We came home, after having to return to the pitches to find his jacket, via the supermarket. I listened to A Dangerous Innocence while I cooked tea, and then caught up with Bake Off and The Fall after tea. BB was tired this evening, but at least he is on holiday now.
This dilapidated wooden cart is in the field by Colonel Gardeners House.
