Suppliant

Day off, to pay back for all the extra and late hours this week. Very slow start and then pootled around the house. Did accounts, mine and the stair, and made soup. Found glacé cherries down the road and peel at Gracemount so got going on the cakes.

The weather was indifferent, not good enough to do the things that need fine in the garden.

Then to the Lyceum, my favourite theatre, for 'The Suppliant Women'. It was excellent and all the more enjoyable because the majority of the performers, the Greek chorus, were local volunteers. Not long though so I was home well before 10 for olives, and soup!
