Tommy's new cage arrived today!

Tommy has his new cage per today! Made by some really special ladiesAstrid Westerbeek and Janet Dekens from Villa Filou. As some of you might know, they also made the wonderful playtrees from Ollie and Tommy. They use the best materials, sisal rope, stainless steel etc. This cage is fully handmade from stainless steel, 304 quality, totally the way I wanted the cage for Tommy. Also the furniture is done by them. They also told me all about how they make it, the full process, but more important, how to clean the cage. "Normal" cages last for a few years because they are gonna get lots of signs of rust. That is very dangerous for your bird. So... this cage never has to be replaced. Okay.. it is not cheap, but if you have to buy a new cage every few years, you also pay quite some money Anyway.... I am so happy with it!! Only Tommy isn't... YET. I put on some more lights, but he only climbs through the cage, already for an hour and didnt find a place to sit, yet. ha ha. But that is okay. It is a big change for him too!. Thanks dear Astrid and Janet for the wonderful work you both have done, not just making a cage, I know you made it with so much love and devotion for the birds!! <
