Dusk
There's something about getting organised in your life that makes things a lot calmer in your head. And, actually, I'm going to leave that sentence there as a testament to how one can end up writing a statement that is both obvious and banal when trying to be a bit profound. But anyway...
After a morning in the office, I popped into Kendal, this afternoon, to see my bank manager, who has in some financial respects at least, changed my life over the last couple of years. It's he who has helped me sort out the financial implications of the machinations of the divorce solicitors and now we are on a final 'tidy up' of accounts and other bits and pieces.
So it was that I left NatWest with a clear head and a spring in my step and headed home for a bit of bonus time with Dan and Abi, although that was truncated when their mum picked them up to go and look at a house before Abi went to netball, so I made use of the time and went for a swim prior to picking Abs up and dropping her back at her mum's.
If I hadn't been in a bit of a hurry today I might have furnished you with a photograph taken in Kendal but as it is you'll have to make do with this shot of Kirkby Lonsdale at dusk. I love the way the slower shutter speed lets in the light so that the house lights look warm and inviting.
