In Memoriam

Roses were my mother's favourite flowers and I'm happy the sun shone on this one.

We went for a trip out to Kloster Eberbach to buy a couple of bottles of Sekt today (the Vinothek is open 7 days a week) and went for a wander round the gardens.  Kind of fitting in a way - we went there when my mum came over for a visit back in 2013 and I found myself smiling at the memories.

Smiling is good when you're thinking about people.  It helps.

One bottle of Sekt is being chilled in the fridge and will be opened later.  And as she (not the cat's mother) preferred it, the cork will be soundlessly removed.

Other thoughts and observations for today can wait - they are merely noise.
