Dr Fabregues

This is the entrance to the narrow street where we are now staying. The street is named after a local doctor. The picture is advertising an art gallery that sits off a side street - we plan to visit it later in the week.

Today has been warm and sunny. This morning we wandered to the Sunday market in Pollenca and got some vegetables. It was very busy but such a feast for the eyes - bowls of olives and anchovies and huge round loaves of bread along with all the brightly coloured vegetables.

Afterwards we walked through the old town up the hill to the Calvari - an ancient church over looking Pollenca with spectacular views across to the sea. A guitarist played gentle Spanish music as we stood and admired the scenery.

This afternoon we have relaxed at our house and enjoyed a walk around the town. We are now cooking dinner - I had better go and help!

I hope this finds you all well. I am looking forward to catching up with your blips properly once our holiday is over. Best wishes and take care.
