Homemade Chicken Pie
Chicken Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
2 chickens, cooked and cleaned off the bone
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
250g mushrooms, chopped
125g cashew nuts
250ml chicken stock
Method:
1. Remove skin and bone from chicken and shred it into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients and spread out in a large, greased oven proof dish.
3. Roll out the pastry and lay over the dish with the edges hanging over the top.
4. Brush pastry with egg to create a crispy, golden crust.
5. Place in the oven (180 degrees celcius) and leave for about 30 minutes until pastry is ready.
Serve with a green salad and rice.

This recipe was given to me by my Mom-in-law and is a delicious family favourite.
