Broken Rule

After Mass in Manchester, NH, we visited the restored Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH, that was founded in 1792 and peaked at 300 members in the 1850's, with the final member passing in 1992. The history of this group is very interesting. This village was opened to public visitors in the 1980's. From there, we headed back to VT to shop at the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham where we purchased more specialty cheeses and gifts. Returning to Manchester, we discovered Blake's Restaurant and Creamery where I broke my rule - "no dessert unless you finish your dinner." And I am glad I did!
