Ring Of Brodgar
Day one of the holiday ended with a sunset visit to the Ring of Brodgar on Orkney.
Christine and I arrived at Scrabster perfectly timed for the start of loading the ferry. Ok, perhaps that's because we were erm... a little behind schedule! But, no wonder. What a day we had to open the tour! Stopping every now and again (ok, lots!) to shoot in the glorious sunshine. The top of Loch Laggan and then again at the dam at the bottom, Loch Lochy and Urquart Castle all grabbed our attention before the dash up to Scrabster for the ferry to Stromness. A quick check-in at the hostel in Kirkwall and then the beautiful sunset demanded our full attention.
This is the first of the holiday blips. Having spent a few days in the Capital, I'm sitting here in the flat at 00:05 with Christine and Anton as if we were all set to leave Edinburgh to start the second leg of the travels first thing in the morning. Truth is, all the packing is still to be done!!! Hahahaha... oops!
Thought I'd post a few images though before I left (again), just to let you all know I'm still alive! Hope everyone is well.
Now... where did I put that rucksack!
