Quod oculus meus videt

The Upper Avenue and Hall, Chillington

Bright, breezy conditions at lunchtime.  It was worth popping out, initially to  look for some autumn colour, but in the end to capture such big skies overhead.

The hall is just over a mile away from where the images was taken, at Giffard's Cross.  When you add this to the Lower Avenue, it is almost two and a half miles in length.  The Upper Avenue is much more in keeping with the expectation of stately home avenues, while the Lower Avenue is now completely canopied with mature trees.

Technical:  An Infrared image, converted using Silver Efex Pro.
