Broad Street: Weston Library
More inspirational in large?
I found this sunny scene rather delightful (sandstone, sunshine, smiling passers-by...), until I noticed the shadow of one of the Muses (well, the shadow of one of the statues on top of the Clarendon Building, behind me here). I found its presence more ominous-seeming than inspirational in actual fact, but hey ho... Perhaps that is because two of them have plunged from the roof since first being installed (in the 18/19th Century), and I was in The Danger Zone.
I was torn between this shot and a chap planning his pub crawl in the Covered Market (extra).
