Indoor Blip: Lithops

More alien in large.

I got new succulents through the post today: I've wanted some Lithops ("stone face" plants, or "living stones") ever since seeing them at the botanic gardens. They're rather cute, and do indeed look like colourful pebbles. This is what they look like in their glass pot; they're all Lithops spp., except the central bunch which are Ophthalmophyllum ("eye leaves" because they're windowed with a glossy top). Some of them are flowering, which I've not seen before; this one's flower has died and dried up...
