Intimidating writers, fantastic film

First time in the Aberdeen Uni Library, down in the depths in the special collections for a Flash Fiction workshop. I was a bit intimidated to begin with, surrounded by English Literature students, some of yer actual proper writers, and some random bunters like myself. But it was fine once I got into it and when the lecturer cornered me in the tea and chocolate cookie pit stop he totally put me at ease and before I knew it I was talking a good game. I didn't even know what flash fiction was before I went. By the end, I was doing it. It's like blipping in a way, which is a bit more flash faction than fiction, big dollops of wide embellishments lavishly applied of course.

And afterwards back out into the rain, such heavy rain, which lasted all the way to us all heading out at night to see that wonderful film, Hunt for the Wilder People at the Belmont. Everyone needs to see that film and get a bit of Ricky Baker, Hec and Bella in their lives, and even more importantly, we all definitely need to be a bit more Bella.
