The new seventy....

Speaking at Peebles Pensioners this afternoon (about examining for the surgeons). The development worker who organises it says "the problem is that these days people retire at 65 and become Pensioners . But they've got fifteen very active years ahead of them- cruises, looking after grandchildren, doing courses.... so by the time they get to the stage of benefitting from this kind of club, very few will take leadership responsibility- eighty is the new seventy!
