Goldfinches in the rain

A wet, grey day but I did sit under the arbour drinking a cup of tea and it was quite warm. I think it was warmer out than in.I filled up the feeders and then watched the birds. Plenty of goldfinches, one siskin, robins,coal,blue and great tits, green and chaffinches, dunnocks and wrens. The woodpecker came down ad the tree creeper climbed the old oak tree. The coal tits have been hiding sunflower seeds in every put and behind the bark on the trees, such busy birds flying backwards and forwards. In the photo you can see that one of the goldfinches is a young one just getting his red face feathers.
