Mountain People

A traditional lazy morning with the paper and a long breakfast had the extra distraction of the Olympics. We eventually tore ourselves away from the telly and drove up to the ponds in the mountains just outside Hay. Clare and I went swimming here a couple of years ago, but we lost our nerve today; partly due to unidentified scum on the water surface, and partly due to being wimpy. We still a good picnic, climb and paddle though. It was really nice to be in the countryside, and the only ones around. When we got back, it was officially G&T/stubbie time; another tradition when in Wales.
