The Bridge of Success!
1. What is going on in this picture?
This picture is taken in Fredericksburg, Virginia on October 21, 2016. I took a photo of the Marry Washington bridge. The bridge is located over the Jefferson Davis highway. My volleyball team and I took a visit on Friday night to watch their volleyball team.
2. How is it related to a specific human geography concept from the current unit or previous units?
The photo is taken in a view which you are able to see inside of the bridge. Looking inside you can see the built in railing, the hospital, CVS Pharmacy, and much more. The bridge also leads you to a variety of outdoor eating and boutiques. From a distance the bridge has the logo of University Marry Washington. To conclude, there are homes and a school located right next to the college.
3. Link the image to one of the five themes of geography (location, place, human-environmental interaction, movement, and region) with an explanation of how it relates
Place: This photo relates to human characteristics. The Marry Washington Bridge is another way of transportation. You can access the bridge from both ends. In addition, there is a beautiful view of Fredericksburg. (Word Count -165)
