Lichens , maybe.

On Radio 4's The Life Scientific this morning, Jim Al-Khalili talked to Pat Wolseley about her obsession with lichens. I was blip-inspired in a Brodick Castle direction and took about 15 images . Then I looked up a couple of lichen identification websites and became increasingly uncertain that the 'stuff' I had photographed was all classifiable as lichen!
