Once upon a time (what feels like) long, long ago my two babies looked like this. They were inseparable and doted on each other completely.

Noah starts High School tomorrow....how the heck did that happen??

He's really excited and just a little bit nervous. As it's his first day he's going to walk with his big sister but I'd need to use all my powers of persuasion to get them as close as this in tomorrow's obligatory school uniform shot!

Maybe being at the same school again will bring them closer together, they always had a laugh in Primary School before Freya moved on. It's really quite satisfying to watch them grow up, see how their characters form and how well they cope with new and challenging experiences.

Freya starts third year so for the third time in 3 years she faces the unknown tomorrow. Day 1 in S1 was in Gourock High School where she knew no-one, Day 1 of S2 was the day Clydeview Academy opened it's doors to the pupils of Gourock High and Greenock Academy in their newly merged school and day 1 of S3 sees her move out of many of her familiar classes and into the subjects she has chosen for her first set of qualifications (the new nationals - English, Maths, French, Chemistry, Geography, Music, Art & IT).

Really all she's worried about for tomorrow is how to wear her hair.

Hope they both have a great first day back, photo shoot is at 7.25am so I can still get to work on time to welcome all our returning children back to nursery for the new session.
