Marjorie's ramblings

Dramatic clouds over Humshaugh

Today was the first day I felt fit enough for a walk. It poured with rain just after lunch, but then stopped as suddenly as it started. I set out with boots, waterproof trousers and gaiters, just in case!

I walked about 3.7 miles. It's a circuit in the fields around the village. It was great to be out and enjoying the fresh air. I seemed to see the autumn changes in the vegetation with fresh eyes. The local farmer was feeding the sheep. His cows are still out. There is plent of grass, but I gather it is poor quality just now.

He was very concerned that my path took me through the herd, but I promised him I would be careful and safe.

After the rain, there were wonderful dark skies to the west and dramatic clouds to the north.

A large flock of geese honked overhead. They were in three skeins but manages to join into one as I watched them.

I'd like to point you in the direction of Tradutor, a new blipper from Brazil. It is going to be fascinating to watch as he begins to show us where he lives and more about life there.

Also there is to be a Blip Meet in Gateshead on Saturday October 29th at 11am, meeting in the cafe of the Sage Gateshead. Full details from Meancoast.

Especially for Marcus in Brazil I have added a photo of my garden gate and the path to my house.
